11 months, where has the time gone!

5th of January 2012, i gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Eleven months later and i still have that beautiful baby girl, only shes crawling, walking round furniture, emptying my fridge, talking and being a complete monster.

It does make me wonder where the time has gone. I mean, she doesn't seem to have been a little tiny baby for very long. I remember wishing she was older, but now shes approaching her 1st birthday. And i wish she was that tiny baby so i could cuddle her all day, but i know from now on she'll only get bigger.

We take for granted the precious moments you have when they are tiny. The cuddles, 1st smiles, laughing, just everything. It feels awful but i know that she's just going to get older and as each day goes by we plave that memory into a locked box. I love my daughter, and i really love who shes becoming and i am enjoying teaching her.

I never thought i would have a child and now, i couldn't live without her. She is my life!

Heres some photos taken by karl haynes from her 11 month old shoot.

Making biscuits!

Well when your lonely and bored, what better thing to do than make you and your bubs mr tumble shaped bow tie biscuits.

I love making biscuits and she loves eating them too. Just a shame i am not supposed to eat them. But every now and then isn't going to hurt. Tomorrow is the fayre for the village i grew up in, so i decided to add to the cake stall and make biscuits! In fact have more stars to make....... Back shortly!

Finally finished. I made around 25 bow ties and more than enough stars but have halved it so we can have some here. Mr tumble would be proud, haha. Anyway next job when the stars are dry is putting them in bags but, i will have to leave that until morning i am afraid. As well as the laundry. I am shattered.

With biscuits made i am off to sleep! Oh dear, nearly wrote a poem there. Whoops. Maybe next time!

Cookied out!

I would write a recipe, but i am so used to chucking stuff in, i do not actually know the quantity! Silly me

In the night garden? More like in the drug fuelled night off.

My daughter loves 'In the night garden', its peaceful, calming and very colourful. But what the hell is it about. Seriously? I feel like i am on the biggest drug fest ever. Its odd. Its like someone gave you a ruffie and your seeing the world through the eyes of the writer on a mad trip. I often wonder what the characters are doing? As they all seem mental.
Iggle piggle and upsy daisy are cute, very annoying, and not really teaching kids anything as iggle piggles a mute, and upsy daisy says her name over and over again with the addition of "do" sometimes. But when you start getting down to makka pakka it starts getting strange. Personally this character is slightly racist in my view, as the rhyme says "wakka pakka" and sometimes you'll hear it from the character itself. Which isn't a good when your tryibg to bring your kids up properly. (oh dear the next door neighbours are fighting again)

Its such an odd program with so many continuity problems it would cause world war 3, in a media class. For a starters, the sizing of the ninky nonk, one minute its large, the next its tiny. The characters chase it and its tiny, then you next see then getting into the ninky nonk to find its suddenly twice as big as the characters. Where is the flow in continuity there. Whats it teachin our children that size isn't overly important when it comes to things. You have somehow explain the difference once your child is older.

I would love to know what this program is about. It makes no sense. Kids love it, adults loathe it. But it works. It works so well. My daughter loves it, and makes it perfect bedtime routine at the end of it. But if i am completely honest I LOATHE IT!

Coca cola lorry visits

Well todays been interesting. We've been to stoke-on-trent, to see the coca cola artic lorry. Last year i really wanted to see it. But i was so sick when i was pregnant i never got to see it.

This year i have seen it! I have to admit its not as spectacular as the advert, but then again the advert is, well, amazing. Really makes you think that christmas IS coming when you see the twinkling lights and that "holidays a coming" vocal. It hums through the ears like a beautiful bell, sounding the chime of christmas. Its almost like the smell of turkey, roasties and brussell sprouts are in the air. The crunch of wrapping paper and the taste of selotape as you grasp it with your teeth to quickly wrap that present before they see it. The coca cola advert is the symbol of the season to be. Since when have we ever relied on this for the month and a half warning that christmas is upon us.

That lorry, that must have cost an absolute fortune is something we flood to see. Its getting almost as famous as santa. Yet if you look into it, its coca colas fault that santa wears red. Traditional santa, before the commercialized, and well known santa we all now, always wore green. Not many people know that. But coca cola changed him from green to red to suit their advertising campaigns and hence many moons ago our beloved symbol of a childhood christmas was born. Yet we all follow the branding we are given as a child, so changing suit probably would cause uproar amongst children. If your childs young like mine, they are terrified of "the big red lobster man" (nightmare before christmas), and scream at the sure start of seeing him. I have to admit i found it a little funny. If you say "where's santa?" she frantically looks round, with a look of fear in her eyes. I know she'll grow out of it. I do, but its kind of funny to see her look for him.

Back to the subject at hand. The staff their where brilliant and friendly. And the lorry sparkly and shiny. Its a definate must see before christmas. A little disappointing in day light, and not enough lights on the lorry but a free mini can (now doing coke zero) makes it all worth while.

The holidays a coming!

Santas on his way!

There ought to be a new slogan "Merry cokemas" haha

Oh my how time flies!

Well, looking back its been ages. I always promised i'd start blogging but just haven't found the time or anything. But new phone so fingers crossed i'll stick at it. Well where to start.

Eden is now crawling and into everything. She has been for about 2 months. Not that you get used to it mind. We've had a few accidents, fell down the stairs once, bumped heads but to be honest done quite well. Not too bad. She's growing well and its amazing. Shes nearly 11 months old now. Can't believe it. Been difficult but we're getting there.

Now shes older and does more things, toys are getting more and more, and generally moving about more, i find it really difficult to get out the house. Once i am out its easy but i have to admit its not as easy now as it used to be. Shops aisles seem to be shorter and hands (however mucky they be) find it easy to grab stuff off the shelves. And time out sat in the pushchair gets really short. Its harder to want to go shopping or just out. She strains herself backwards in the car seat or pushchair so we can't get her in it. But once their she remains fine oddly enough. I love showing her off. Shes my pride and joy. Bless her.

Well i should be trying to blog a little more now. I have an android phone not a blasted blackberry that has nothing on it. Hopefully i can do this sat on a bus and just generally when madams asleep or doesnt want me. Haha like that will ever happen!

Back soon!

Oh and do excuse any spelling mistakes, or letters in the wrong place still getting used to a complete touch screen phone. I think my fingers are too fat for the buttons haha.

Baby update

Well I failed to write a pregnancy diary, I got so busy, with antenatal depression, losing my job, and just generally not being able to cope with life I completly forgot about my online blog for pregnancy. Oh well lol. any way there has to be another way I can do this!

My beautiful daughter was born 5th January 2012, she is gorgeous. Such a lovely baby until the colic kicked in. She arrived safe after developing that Norovirus that struck in the winter of 2011, and hit us all really hard. After a week in hospital they induced me, because I was just too ill. And hey presto, 6.10pm Thursday the 5th of January my Little Eden-Rose was born!
Eden-Rose about 15 minutes old.

Love that second picture she looks like a little gnome. She was worth all the agony as months before I nearly lost her twice. Such a sad time. But she stayed and she is the light of my life. Here are a few of her photo shoots to show you how she has changed. I'll try and update you on Edens life as it progresses. Got lots coming up so I hope its going to be good.

My Story

This is the 1st diary entry for me, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and scared out my wits.

Its not been an easy task getting here, I've had 4 miscarriages, by the age of 24, and this is my 5th pregnancy. I suppose I ought to explain how I got here. My first two pregnancies, where not planned, they were the result of abuse by an ex partner. He wasn't an easy one to be with, 3 years of my life, wasted, after I found I was pregnant the second time, he pushed my down the stairs in the fit of an arguement. He told me it wasn't his, accused me of cheating, and then after I tried to leave, he pushed me down the stairs, and when I lost it, he wasn't at all bothered.

I left him and got with an amazing guy over a year and a half of being single, and not being able to trust anyone ever again! But Will has been a godsend. After all the abuse I had with the ex, with Will its been amazing. Anyway, last year we fell pregnant in January, and we where so happy, we wanted this, because of my diabetes and such, its made really difficult. But we where looking forward to having tiny us running round. Not that his family made it easy, but it wasn't to be. We lost the baby in February 2010, devastating me and Will. Then in April after all the heartbreak, we found out we were pregnant again. Excited and nervous, it only turned to heartbreak in May. 7 weeks pregnant with both of them, and gone. So I saw a miscarriage specialist, whom tried to help us, but 8 months later still no joy. His Sister and Sister-in-law fell pregnant, and my cousin also fell pregnant. I felt lost, his family wanted him to wait, but we knew the time bomb that was my body giving up, after tests for cancer, PCOS and numerous other things. Which turns out I have borderline PCOS and type 2 diabetes, which I failed to say I have been since I was 17. And other problems, they said it would most likely be months maybe years before I concieved. We were devastated. I cried for days. But a month later, I fell pregnant. Scared, yes, excited, maybe, and worried about losing it again, definatly. Things seem to be going well. I've had three scans so far, and had a bleed around 8 weeks. Turns out it was a haemorrhage above the baby, not really major, and it stopped after a week, when we went for our 3rd scan, baby is fine, heartbeat is strong and everything seems to be going well.

I decided to write a pregnancy diary to keep an eye on how I feel. Plus to let people understand more about diabetes and pregnancy. How difficult times can get! I know it scares me. But I'm doing this for my baby.
